The “Kenneth Anger” photobooth project is the last major photobooth project undertaken by Boyd. Boyd and Anger shared an interest in Walt Disney, whom Anger considered a magician. Before Anger’s death, Boyd was working on a large-scale exhibition representing Walt’s life, which Anger was going to be involved with. The “Kenneth Anger” photobooth project was the first stage of this project. The portraits were shot in various chemical photobooths around Los Angeles.
