“Sexy Deb” opened in 2014 at the Boyd Satellite in New Orleans. The installation consisted of paintings in bole (clay) and water gilding. The imagery of the paintings drew from Boyd’s previous works, including rabbits, swans, and Disney characters, which Boyd then “trashed” with graffiti. The exhibition was created in response to Boyd’s work being copied by other artists and misinterpreted by critics.
